Field Service
Microsoft buys FieldOne Systems
In July 2015, Microsoft announced that it had reached an agreement to purchase FieldOne Systems, a world-class provider of field service management solutions that allows organisations to better manage and deliver service to their customers in the field.
FieldOne’s field service management systems allowed Microsoft to further extend their customer service management into areas they hadn’t previously reached, but knew were vitally important.
Why did Microsoft buy FieldOne?
As Microsoft highlighted in their public release: FieldOne are a leading provider of end-to-end solutions that enable businesses to drive revenue, reduce costs and deliver great customer service. Their industry-leading solution specializes in delivering a full set of capabilities that include work order management, automated scheduling, asset contract, inventory and procurement management, workflow capabilities and mobile collaboration – providing enterprises with a comprehensive modern field service solution. This gives companies the ability to do things such as adjusting routing on the fly and delivering service arrival estimate times within a smaller window, which is essential for more personal customer engagement.
Why did CRMCORP focus on Dynamics CRM Field Service
Simple. We believe that everything revolves around customers. Customers are at the core of CRM. Typical Field Service Management systems are based around: money, services or products. While we acknowledge these are important, it is your customer and the personal relationship your organisation’s team have with your clients, that delivers business growth.
Adding Field Service Management as a core focus for CRMCORP, was a natural progression and filled a hole in our customer relationship management cycle.
Russell Nankervis, one of our most experienced team members, is a FieldOne Partner. Further, we have been leading the way in releasing informative blog posts and videos on Field Service.
